Poorly Lit Road at the Center of Pedestrian Accident in San Antonio

A pedestrian accident that left a 73-year-old man dead on Monday evening, has created a stir within the San Antonio community as safety advocates call for better lighting in the region where the man was struck by a car in San Antonio.
Police identified the man as Apoliano Guadajardo. According to reports, Guadajaro was crossing the road near Loop 410, a region known for poor lighting.
The pedestrian accident in San Antonio is not the first in the region, and comes among many other life accidents that have resulted in serious injuries and deaths.
As a result of Guadajardo’s death, his family has contacted the city to create awareness and evoke change. In turn, representatives with the city of San Antonio have begun surveying the region.
