Rosenberg High School Student Killed in Texas 18 Wheeler Accident
An 18 wheeler accident in Rosenberg, Texas left one high school student dead and two others injured after a big rig collided with a Toyota Camry on Highway 59.
Police identified the high school student who was killed in the Texas 18 wheeler accident as 17-year-old Gabrielle Garcia, who was a student at Benjamin Franklin Terry High School in Rosenberg. Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene of the Texas 18 wheeler accident.
The other occupants of the Toyota, who were injured in the 18 wheeler accident, were identified as an 18-year-old, who was reportedly driving at the time of the semi crash, and two 16-year-old passengers. The 18-year-old was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital via helicopter along with one of the 16-year-old passengers. The other passenger was transported to Oak Bend hospital via ground ambulance.
Although police are still investigating the Texas 18 wheeler accident, they believe the Toyota’s driver was attempting to cross the highway on Cottonwood Church Road.
