San Antonio Cement Truck Accident with Van Kills One

A San Antonio cement truck collision with a plumbing van claimed the life of one of the drivers and sent the other driver to the hospital in critical condition, San Antonio officials revealed on Thursday morning.

Police said the collision occurred on Bulverde Road near the intersection of Evans Road at approximately 9:05 a.m.

The driver of the cement truck was identified as the driver who was killed in the crash on Bulverde Road. The driver of the plumbing van, who was identified by family as John Lougher, suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to University hospital, where he was later taken off life support.

As a result of the head-on collision, San Antonio police said the cement truck rolled into a nearby ditch. Authorities said a crane would be needed to remove the truck.

Bulverde Road was closed as police investigated and clean-up crews cleared the roadway.

Lougher’s loved one’s and family remember him as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
