A hit and run motorcycle accident left one San Antonio man dead, Sunday morning.

According to police, Robert Louis Carter III, 49, died at the scene of the accident when he was hit by a vehicle from behind, on Loop 410 in Bexar County. The vehicle that hit him drove away and Carter was then hit by a second car when he was knocked off his motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet.

Twenty-eight-year-old Nicholette Harmer was the second driver who hit Carter. Although she stopped after hitting Carter, she was booked into Bexar County jail for her third offense of driving while intoxicated (DWI).

Police are still searching for the first vehicle that struck the motorcyclist and drove away.
