Seguin Bus Accident on I-10 Injures at Least 13

At least 13 people were injured in a Seguin bus accident that occurred on I-10 near Hwy 130 when the bus driver veered into the opposite lane of traffic before over correcting and driving off the interstate, police reported.

In order to free the passengers from the bus, emergency crews had to force their way into the rear of the bus. The front of the bus had experience severe damage, emergency officials told the Seguin Gazette.

One injured passenger was flown to the University Hospital via helicopter. Twelve other bus passengers were transported to Guadalupe Regional Medical Center by EMS. The remaining passengers aboard the bus were checked out at another hospital, police said.

Authorities said the tour bus was traveling from Mexico at the time of the Texas bus crash.
