Seven Injured When 18 Wheeler Collides with Greyhound on I-35

A collision between an 18 wheeler truck and a Greyhound bus on I-35 sent 7 people to the hospital Thursday.
Police said the driver of the truck, identified as Abdirahman Abdullah-Moalim, failed to control his speed, smashing into the back of a Kia sedan. Abdullah-Moalim then overcorrected, colliding with an “Americanos” bus, which is a Mexican division of Greyhound, out of Dallas.
The bus was driven by Jose Zuniga Tomayo of Laredo.
All of the injured people transported to the hospital were occupants of the bus. The driver and passengers in the Kia were not hurt in the 18 wheeler accident.
There were a total of 43 passengers on the bus.
Police say the lack of attention on the road and surroundings by the truck driver and his speed contributed to the accident.
