Single-vehicle accident claims life of Tarleton State student

The victim of a single-vehicle accident has been identified as 21-year-old Hannah Russell from Burleson.

According to DPS officials, Russell, a Tarleton State University student, was driving a 2002 silver Honda westbound on U.S. Hwy. 67 towards Stephenville when the crash occurred.

The accident report states that Russell’s vehicle drove off the right side of the highway for an unknown reason. The vehicle rolled multiple times, ejecting the driver. The accident occured near County Road 184,

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Further investigation into the crash is underway.
