Single Vehicle Car Accident on 190 Sends Fort Hood Soldier to Hospital
A single vehicle accident in Killeen on U.S. Highway 190 sent a Fort Hood soldier to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon when he lost control of the car, smashing into the guardrail and into a nearby embankment.
Although police did not release the name of the injured soldier, who was driving at the time of the Killeen car accident, they noted that it was a soldier, who was transported to Carl R. Darnell Army Medical Center.
Although a variety of factors can result in an accident where the driver loses control of a vehicle, distracted driving, overcorrection and even defective auto equipment are just some of the more common reasons.
Defective accelerators and even inadequate brakes are sometimes to blame for auto accidents where the driver cannot control the vehicle. In addition, the growth of handheld and mobile devices can sometimes be tied to distracted driving that causes accidents and deters a driver’s ability to react efficiently.
