Sports Car Loses Control, Killing Two in I-35 Accident

Two people were killed early this morning after a small sports car lost control, smashing into an 18 wheeler truck.
The two people killed have not yet been identified but, according to police, both were occupants in the smaller vehicle involved in the semi-truck accident. They were pronounced dead at the scene of the big rig crash.
The southbound lanes of I-35 were closed by authorities, provoking drivers to use alternate routes and the nearby frontage road.
Officials attributed the accident, in part, to slick road conditions caused by recent rainfall, which may have led the driver of the sports car to lose control of the vehicle and spin out.
