A head-on collision in Oklahoma claimed the lives of at least seven people when a van transporting workers to a Texas meatpacking plant collided with an SUV, approximately 10 miles from the border into Texas, officials said on Wednesday. The van accident occurred on Highway 412 in Ok.
Although no names of victims have been released, Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a Chevrolet Suburban crashed into the van after swerving into the opposite lane of traffic. The driver in each vehicle, the van and the SUV, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
In addition, five people in the van were killed, authorities reported.
