Sport utility vehicles in particular, especially higher, boxier, older models have an increased risk of rolling, making the protective safety equipment within them even more important for protecting occupants from serious rollover accident injuries. Seatbelts, airbags and even the strength of a vehicle’s roof are vital to keeping drivers and passengers within the vehicle as it overturns while protecting them from the blows of the roof as it impacts the ground or other surface.

Auto defects, such as flawed seatbelts, latches, defective airbags and inadequate vehicle roofs can make occupants vulnerable to vehicle ejection while failing to protect fragile necks, heads and backs from the roof of the vehicle. While standards for roof crush are constantly improving and becoming more stringent, some vehicle flaws are known to auto makers and companies long before products, parts and automobiles are recalled or investigated.

Oftentimes, looking for help investigating and looking into the accident of a loved one is the last thing on the minds of family and friends who’ve lost someone in a tragic crash. Healing, seeking medical care and grieving can make it difficult for victims and their loved ones to focus on the investigation or seeking justice. But while the judgment of victims can sometimes be clouded by the tragedy and difficulties associated with a serious Texas auto accident, seeking help immediately is an imperative part of gathering evidence before it becomes lost, fades with time and witnesses become more difficult to located.
