Temple Fire and Rescue Truck Collides with Car on North Main Street

A collision between a Temple Fire and Rescue truck and a Ford SUV on North Main Street in Temple, left at least one person injured Tuesday, police reported.

The Temple auto accident occurred near Central Avenue and involved a Ford Escape SUV. The driver of that SUV was transported to Scott & White for the treatment of injuries they endured, officials said.

Despite experiencing injuries sparked by the truck accident in Temple, the driver of the sport utility vehicle was expected to recover and his injuries were not deemed life threatening. No one on the fire truck was injured in the crash.

Police have not yet revealed what may have caused the collision between the truck and the car and the names of those involved have not yet been revealed.
