A Texas 18 wheeler truck collision with a pickup truck hauling livestock resulted in the death of a MicKinney woman on I-35E, this morning, near Saner Exit.

One of the pickup truck’s passengers, 43-year-old, Regina Raquel Duane was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said woman, only identified as 26-years-old McKinney ISD teacher, was driving the vehicle. A 15-year-old girl, who is reportedly Duane’s daughter, was also a passenger in the pickup truck, police said.

According to officials, the pickup truck hydroplaned on the rain-soaked interstate, causing it to jackknife and come to a stop near a small hill. The occupants of the pickup could not get out of the vehicle fast enough and an 18 wheeler truck smashed into the back of the pickup, knocking the trailer filled with livestock down the highway.

The two other women injured in the Texas 18 wheeler accident were transported to Methodist Hospital. The injuries of the pickup driver and teen passenger have not yet been updated, authorities said. The driver of the 18 wheeler truck sustained non-life threatening injuries.
