Texas Car Accident Claims Life of Hardin-Simmons Volleybal Player

An I-20 car accident in Texas claimed the life of a Hardin-Simmons University sophomore and volleyball player on Thursday morning, officials said.

The woman who was killed was identified as 20-year-old Jessica Rogers, who was traveling to work when the car accident occurred.

Police said Rogers was on her way to work after visiting a friend on Thursday morning. The accident occurred at approximately 8 a.m. near Eastland.

Roger, reportedly, worked at Luskey’s Western Wear in Abilene.

Police are still investigating the accident in an effort to understand what may have provoked the crash. They have not released whether anyone else was injured or involved in the Texas car wreck.
