Texas Truck Accident Kills One, Injuries Another

A Splurger, Texas man was killed and his wife was severely hurt in a traffic accident involving a highway construction truck and a Chevrolet pickup, Thursday, officials said.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 73-year-old Bertie May Callaway struck the rear side of a Dodge 3500 Junior Construction Company truck, driven by Fererico Cuellar Huichapa. The Dodge was stopped along the highway, setting up construction cones. Ruddle porter Callaway, 78, was killed in the accident when the passenger side of the Chevy hit the rear driver side of the Dodge, Department of Publis Safety Trooper, Buck Odom said.
Transported to Tyler County Hospital in Woodeville, Mrs. Callaway sustained serious injuries as a result of the truck accident. Huichapa was not injured in the accident.
A logging truck and wrecking company truck were required to separate the trucks that had collided in order to free the fatality from the scene, according to the Woodeville Fire Department. It took authorities three hours to clear the wreckage and reopen Highway 190.
