Texas Wheeler Accident in Denton Kills One

A Denton, Texas 18 wheeler accident left one person dead Monday night, when the driver of one of the big rigs involved appeared to have veered into the opposite lane of traffic, police reported.

Although none of the drivers and victims of the truck accident in Denton have been identified, police said the truck that sparked the collision was hauling rock at the time of the crash.

The truck, hauling rock, slammed into three other vehicles. The driver of one of the cars the truck struck was killed in the fatal accident on highway 114.

The driver who was killed was driving a Hyundai Elantra at the time of the wreck, officials reported.

The driver of the semi-truck was flown to a hospital in Fort Worth for the treatment of injuries he sustained in the wreck. No update has been provided regarding his condition.

The accident occurred around 7 p.m., police said.

In addition to slamming into three passenger vehicles, the out-of-control 18 wheeler also crashed into another semi-truck.

Police are still investigating the truck accident on Hwy 114 in Texas.
