Texas woman dies in Clare County car crash when leaving her brother’s funeral

Just moments after burying her brother, Texas woman Carol Bradley was hit by another car when pulling out of the cemetery taking her life.

According to local troopers, the other driver did not stop at South Lake Station Avenue and West Maple Grove Road. This caused the driver to slam in to Bradley and killed her.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two of her family members were in the truck were injured from the crash and taken to the hospital. They are expected to survive.

The driver of the other vehicle, whose name has not yet been released, was also hurt and is suspected to have been on drugs during the crash.

“I think the best way to describe this is numb, because you don’t expect this. She just left the cemetery from burying her brother. So it’s been kind of difficult to even digest,” says Kathryn Ablerlich, Bradley’s niece.

“She was a retired Army veteran. Her youngest child was going to be graduating high school in just two, maybe three weeks. It’s tragedy on top of tragedy. Now to find out the potential of drugs being involved in this is just really heartbreaking.”
