Three Children Killed in Rear-End Accident on Highway 835 in Odessa
A car accident attorneys in Austin claimed the lives of three children and left five other injured when the van they were riding in was struck from behind on Highway 835.
Officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety identified the children who were killed in the collision as 4-year-old Alaina Elvita Belis, 8-year-old Ruben Julius Belis and 11-year-old Jamie Marie Belis. All three children were from Seminole, Texas, police said.
According to a report published by KWTX News, the driver of a pickup truck struck the van, whose driver was in the process of turning.
In addition to three fatalities resulting from the Odessa collision, four adults were transported to the Medical Center Hospital along with another child. Police had not yet revealed their identities.
