Three Killed in Alton, Texas Car Accident on Moorefield Road

A woman, child and man were killed in a fatal car accident outside Alton, Texas on Moorefield Road, Friday morning, Department of Public Safety officials reported.

Although the name of the woman killed has not yet been release, officials identified her as a 22-year-old and the mother of the child in the vehicle.

According to police on the scene of the crash, the woman’s vehicle was struck by a truck that was attempting to pass a vehicle, which was traveling in the opposite lane of traffic. The truck hit the woman’s car head on.

Authorities said the Alton, Texas car accident occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m.

The female driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene of the Alton car accident. The infant in the vehicle was transported to the hospital, where he later passed away as a result of injuries he sustained.

The driver of the truck that struck the pair was transported to the hospital and was previously listed in serious condition but later died from injuries he endured in the accident.

Police are still investigating the crash.
