Three Texans Injured in Water Hauling Truck Accident on Hwy 285

A truck accident on Hwy 285 near Carlsbad sent three people to the hospital on Thursday, officials reported.
Police said the Hwy 285 accident occurred when a minivan collided with a truck, which was hauling water.
Although police have not yet identified the victims injured in the collision, they did report that all three people in the minivan were residents of Texas. Emergency personnel had to use the jaws-of-life to free the driver of the minivan from the vehicle.
The truck, owned by CSM Trucking, according to Carlsbad Current-Argus News, was traveling southbound on Hwy 285 and crossed into the opposite lane of traffic, colliding with the minivan.
New Mexico officials cited the driver of the truck for careless driving as a result of the accident.
