Traffic collision sends 6 to emergency room

Six people were injured during a traffic crash in Harris County this past weekend. Although none of the injuries appeared to be life threatening, one passenger was taken by lifeflight to a local hospital.

According to police, two cars collided just before midnight, near State Highway 249.

A silver Honda traveling east bound at high speed reportedly ran a red light and struck a maroon Mazda that was turning left into a gas station parking lot.

Both occupants of the Mazda were transported to local hospitals.

Of the 5 occupants in the Honda, 2 were transported by emergency personnel, the driver, and a 4-year-old. The others were taken to treatment by family.

Charges in the crash are pending.
