Travis County School Bus Accident Injures Four Students

A car ran a red light Wednesday morning, rear-ending a school bus filled with students, witnesses said.

The bus accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 29 near State Highway 130. Four students were transported to a hospital with injuries.

In addition, the bus driver is being checked out by paramedics, Manor Independent School District Superintendent Andrew Kim said.

Parents are being notified by the school district regarding the Travis County bus accident. Names of the students, bus driver and driver who rear ended the bus have not yet been released and an update of injuries is not yet available.

The car involved was totaled in the Texas wreck. Police are continuing to investigate the cause and details of the accident.
