An 18 wheeler accident in Amarillo claimed the life of another truck driver, when the driver of a semi-truck pulled in front of his 18 wheeler, causing a rear-end collision, Texas officials said on Wednesday.

According to Department of Public Safety authorities, Ralph Scott, 59, was killed in the Texas truck accident and was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.

The truck accident in Amarillo occurred on US 86, outside of Dalhart.

The driver of the 18 wheeler truck that pulled in front of Scott’s big rig, was not identified by police, but authorities did note that he was not injured in the crash.

Even when two 18 wheeler trucks are involved in an accident, a collision can be deadly, sometimes involving other passenger vehicles and putting truck drivers in danger as well.
