Tuscaloosa Hit-and-Run Victim Identified as Houston Resident

Police have identified the victim of a hit-and-run, pedestrian accident in Tuscaloosa, Alabama as a Houston, Texas man.

According to officials, the Friday morning accident occurred near an Interstate 20 rest area, where Carlos Benavidez was killed when he was hit by a truck.

The truck has only been identified as tan or gold in color. Police said it could be an Ford Expedition SUV or Ford F-150 truck. The truck would, most likely, have endured damage to the front of the vehicle and could have possibly experienced rear damage as well.
