Two Central Texas Women Killed in Collision With 18-Wheeler
A collision between a car and an 18-wheeler killed two Central Texas women Tuesday night around 8 p.m.
The crash occurred four miles east of Kosse on State Highway 7 in Limestone County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Crystal Bennet, 32, of Montgomery and Malina Bishop, 52, of Goodrich, were killed on impact when the 2003 Pontiac they were in crossed into the westbound lane of the highway and collided with an oncoming 18-wheeler.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was injured and taken to a local hospital where he is reported to be stable. He has been identified by DPS as 64-year-old Larry Ditgen, of Harker Heights.
The investigation remains under investigation by local authorities.
