Two Crockett residents, ages 17 and 22, die in Houston County rollover wreck

A one-vehicle rollover crash on FM 357 early Sunday morning killed two, according to a report released by the Department of Public Safety.

Mariaah Lopez, 17, was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck at approximately 5 a.m., and Brendan Galloway, 22, was pronounced dead an hour later at the Houston County Medical center.

The crash is currently under investigation, but a preliminary DPS crash investigation indicated that Austin Cline Catoe, 18, was driving a pickup truck northbound on FM 357 when it veered to the right and rolled over.

Catoe was treated at the Houston County Medical Center, and the passenger in his car at the time of the crash, Haley Henry, 19, was taken to Hermann Hospital for treatment based on the report released by DPS.
