Two Killed in Georgetown Accident on Williams Drive

A car accident in Sun City, Texas left two Georgetown residents dead on Sunday afternoon when a collision sparked one of the vehicles involved to lose control, smashing into a traffic signal pole on Williams Drive, officials said.
The woman who was killed in the Georgetown car wreck was identified as 28-year-old Lacey Nicole Unger. According to emergency officials, Unger was pronounced dead at the scene of the auto collision.
The other fatality reported as a result of the crash was identified as 30-year-old Cole Douglas Cassens. He was transported to Seton Medical Center Williamson, where he was later pronounced dead as a result of injuries he experienced. Cassens was trapped in the vehicle and had to be freed by emergency personnel.
Police said the pair was traveling on Williams Drive when their vehicle was struck by another car, which was attempting to make a left turn on Del Webb Boulevard. The impact sparked a loss on control, sending the vehicle occupied by Unger and Cassens into the pole.
The collision in Williamson County is still be investigated by police. The occupants in the other vehicle did not experience injuries.
