Two Killed in Retirement Bus Accident in Buda, Texas

Two people were killed in an Austin auto accident involving a retirement bus and a sport utility vehicle on Tuesday afternoon, officials reported.

The two people who lost their lives as a result of the collision in Austin, identified by police as 74-year-old Joyce Wilkerson and 68-year-old William Bevill. Police said Bevill was the driver of the SUV.

According to a report published by KEYE TV, the SUV swerved into the opposite lane of traffic, colliding with the retirement bus on Jack C Hays Trail.

The retirement bus had come from the Creekside Villas Retirement Center in Buda, Texas.

As many as seven people required medical treatment as a result of injuries they endured in the Buda retirement bus crash. Some of those victims were transported to area hospitals via helicopter, authorities said. The identities of those injured in the Buda bus collision have not yet been released and an update on their conditions has not yet been provided.
