A Bexar County man was killed Saturday when he was ejected from his vehicle upon crash impact, Texas Department of Public Safety officials said.

Forty-four-year-old David Morgan was pronounced dead on the scene, according to authorities, when he lost control of his vehicle and drove into a drainage ditch.

The single vehicle ejection accident was one of two fatal crashes that occurred over the weekend in Bexar County.

Twenty-two-year-old Jonathan Lopez was also killed, when his vehicle smashed into a telephone pole after he similarly lost control of his truck. After driving into a nearby ditch, Lopez’s truck rolled over. It was unclear if Lopez was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident or what type of injuries he sustained.
