Two vehicle crash in Killeen sends two to hospital
Early Monday morning, a two vehicle crash sent two drivers to the hospital with injuries.
At 1 a.m. Monday morning, police and rescues crews responded to a call about a car crash on East Central Texas Expressway and Trimmier Road in Killeen.
According to police, a 24-year old man ran a red light heading north on Trimmier in a pick-up truck when he slammed into a 51-year old woman’s car that was heading east on Central Texas Expressway.
The man’s truck rolled under the bridge, and the woman was trapped into her car. She had to be pulled out of her car by a rescue crew.
The man was taken to Metroplex hospital with minor injuries, while the woman was airlifted to Scott & White Hospital and suffered from head lacerations.
This crash is still under investigation.
