A motorcycle accident involving an 18 wheeler truck in Waco, resulted in one death, police said.
Thirty-seven-year-old Michael Garcia has been identified as the motorcyclist, who was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
Occurring on Interstate 35, near Baylor, at around 2:00 a.m., the 18 wheeler truck accident closed the highway until 6 a.m. as investigations and clean up took place.
In addition to killing the motorcyclist, the accident sparked a small fire when the fuel tank ruptured, though fire fighters quickly got the tiny blaze under control. The fuel leak was started when the truck ran over the motorcycle, which puncture the tank.
The cause of the truck accident is still being investigated by authorities. Alcohol may have played a role in the accident, authorities noted.
