Waxahachie Chemical Plant Explodes into Flames

A Waxahachie manufacturing plant is engulfed in flames, according to local officials, causing nearby schools and businesses to evacuate.

The Magnablend Chemical Plant exploded several times, witnesses said, provoking dangerous and swiftly moving flames. In addition, a disturbing brown cloud of smoke could be seen drifting from the blaze, causing concern regarding chemicals released.

As many as 85 employees work at the plant. No details about how many employees were in the plant at the time of the fire have been released. Magnablend officials said all the employees in the building were evacuated safely and no injuries have been reported yet.
