A 34-year-old woman was killed in a San Antonio rollover accident on Hwy 151 on Tuesday morning when the driver of the SUV she was riding in swerved to avoid debris on the highway. As a result, the driver lost control of the Ford Explorer and it overturned several times.

Police said the female who was killed was ejected from the SUV as a result of the rollover accident in San Antonio. Officials have not yet revealed whether occupants in the SUV were wearing seatbelts at the time of the single vehicle accident on Hwy 151.

Emergency officials on the scene attempted to revive the woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the car accident in San Antonio, TX. Other occupants in the vehicle experienced minor injuries.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family members and loved ones of the victim.

Rollover Accident Attorneys in San Antonio, TX

Sport utility vehicles and pickup trucks have a particular risk of rolling over because of the higher centers of gravity and, often, boxy designs used in older models of the vehicles. Ford SUV’s in particular, have suffered from scrutiny regarding the rollover risk and even the tires used on previous models of Expeditions and Explorer sport utility vehicles.

In some situations where a rollover occurs and auto equipment fails to protect occupants or sparks the accident in and of itself, drivers, passengers and their families may not even realize there was a problem, defect or recall associated with an accident or product failure.
