Woman Killed in Waco Collision on 22nd Street

One woman was killed in a Waco collision on 22nd Street Tuesday evening when the driver of one of the vehicles involved failed to yield the right of way, officials reported.
The woman who was killed in the car accident in Waco was identified as 33-year-old Melissa Ann Fields.
According to a report published by KWTX News, Fields was traveling westbound on Olive Street when a Ford Expidition SUV collided with her 2003 Hyundai Elantra. The Ford SUV was driven by 24-year-old Richard Angel Garcia.
Police said Garcia was transported to HillCrest Baptist Medical Center with injuries caused by the Waco auto accident.
As a result of the two vehicle accident on 22nd Street, police said Fields was ejected from her car. Officials did not reveal whether they believed Fields was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck. The status of the other driver involved was not updated.
