Wrong Way Accident in Marlin, Texas Injures Seven

A head on collision in Marlin, that involved as many as three vehicles, left several people injured, including children, police reported on Monday night. According to police, the accident took place at approximately 9 p.m. on Hwy 6.

Nine people were in the vehicles at the time of the head-on collision, which left at least 7 people injured. Some of those injured were identified as children, emergency officials said.

Five victims of the Marlin car accident were transported to area hospitals via helicopter. Two other injured victims were transported to Scott & White via ground ambulance.

Police have not yet identified any of the victims injured in the car wreck or provided an update on their conditions.

The scene of the accident is still under investigation, police said, but initially information revealed that one of the vehicles may have been traveling the wrong way up the exit ramp at the Marlin business exit.
