Wrong Way Accident in San Antonio Kills Two

A wrong way accident in San Antonio claimed the lives of two people when a pick-up truck was traveling in the wrong direction on IH-35, police said.

A woman driving a van, which was struck by the wrong-way driver, was identified as Melodie Ann Trevino. Police said Trevino was pronounced dead at the scene of the San Antonio crash.

The driver of the pickup truck was identified as Timothy Ray Furr. Police said, Furr initially clipped an 18 wheeler truck before crashing into Trevino’s van.

One other occupant in the van was transported to the hospital with serious injuries resulting from the accident. The van’s passenger was not identified by police and an update on their status was not yet released.
