Our experienced Research Associates work hand-in-hand with our legal team to collect evidence and information that builds our clients’ claims. Their backgrounds and insight have been crucial to our firm’s ability to successfully resolve a wide range of cases.

ALTON STUART

Alton is a Retired US Army CID Special Agent with over 24 years of service and performs the duties as the Senior Research Associate here at the Carlson Law Firm. As part of his duties he oversees the intake of Major Cases ranging from Commercial Vehicle Crashes, Product Liability, Wrongful Death and Department of Defense involved inquiries. Alton assists Attorneys and Staff throughout the entire Firm and has been with us since 2009.

LUIS GONZALES

Luis is a Retired Milwaukee Wisconsin Police Department Sergeant with 25 years service and currently performs duties as a Research Associate here at the Carlson Law Firm. His duties include but are not limited to crash scene and subject item identification, coordination with local law enforcement, and identifying and interviewing clients and witnesses. Luis assists Attorneys and Staff throughout Central Texas including Killeen, Temple, Waco and Bryan/College Station and has been with us since 2011.

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice, Mount Scenario College
  • Associates Degree in Police Science, Waukesha County Technical College
  • FBI National Academy, 189th Session
  • TAARS Crash Test, Tire Disablement, Rotational Mechanics, Heavy Truck Rollover, HV-EDR Analysis, & Time/Distance

ROLAND HERNANDEZ

Roland has over 29 years of experience in law enforcement and has served as a Chief of Police for two different South Texas Cities and currently performs duties as a Research Associate here at the Carlson Law Firm. His duties include but are not limited to crash scene and subject item identification, coordination with local law enforcement, and interviewing clients and identifying witnesses. Roland assists Attorneys and Staff throughout San Antonio and South Texas including Laredo, Corpus Christi and Victoria and has been with us since 2012.

Education:

  • Master Peace Officer with Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standard & Education.
  • Chief of Police Development Continuous Training
  • Advance Crime Scene and Homicide Training
  • Advance Evidence Identification/Collection and Preservation, certified Evidence Technician
