[Round Rock, Texas]—The Carlson Law Firm’s 2025 Round Rock Thanksgiving in a Basket Giveaway Brings Joy to over 200 Families.
The Carlson Law Firm’s Thanksgiving in a Basket Giveaway returned for its 3rd year, bringing joy and comfort to over 200 local families in Round Rock. The annual event provides families with everything they need to prepare a bountiful Thanksgiving meal, easing the burden for those facing challenges or hardships during the holiday season. Created as an initiative of Carlson Cares, the charitable branch of The Carlson Law Firm, this giveaway reflects the firm’s ongoing commitment to giving back, supporting families in need, and helping create meaningful memories.
“Thanksgiving is about gratitude and community,” said Cheryl Miller, family law attorney and Partner at The Carlson Law Firm. “Through the Thanksgiving in a Basket Giveaway, we’re able to support families in need, not just with a meal, but with a reminder that they are cared for. It’s an honor to help bring comfort and joy to our community during the holiday season.”
Each basket was thoughtfully assembled to include all the essentials for a hearty Thanksgiving meal, including:
- $30 H-E-B gift card (for turkey or preferred protein)
- Stuffing mix (box)
- Cranberry sauce (can)
- Mashed potatoes (box)
- Gravy
- Mac & cheese (box)
- Corn (can)
- Green beans (can)
- French onions (bag)
- Cream of chicken (can)
- Jiffy cornbread mix (box)
- Pie filling
- Pie crust
Participants submitted entries through an online application, nominating themselves, their families, or other families they felt could benefit from a helping hand. The application process allowed the community to come together in a spirit of generosity and care, ensuring that those who might otherwise struggle during the holiday could enjoy a full and festive meal.
Families selected for the giveaway were contacted on November 7th, and the baskets were distributed on November 19th, arriving just in time to help them prepare for their Thanksgiving celebrations. Cookies from Kendra Loves Butter were also provided during pickup to give families a sweet treat while picking up their baskets and spending time with the staff.
The smiles and gratitude expressed by recipients were a powerful reminder of why this event has become such an important tradition for The Carlson Law Firm and the community it serves.
