Train Crashes into 18-Wheeler Truck near Cameron, Texas

A train carrying petroleum in at least three of its cars crashed into an 18-wheeler in Cameron, Texas on Tuesday morning. It’s not clear if anyone was injured and authorities have yet to report any fatalities. Local news outlets are reporting that both the train conductor and truck driver survived the crash.

The train burst into flames upon striking the 18-wheeler at a train track crossing on FM 2095— about six miles outside of Cameron. Authorities in Cameron labeled the crash a “hazmat situation” and required evacuations because of the intensity of the flames.

Two sheds near a home in the area of the crossing burned.
