The Carlson Law Firm in Lubbock Hosts Annual Business After Hours

LUBBOCK, Texas — The Carlson Law Firm in Lubbock is hosted Business After Hours from 5:30-7 p.m. on Jan. 25. Local business owners and attorneys were invited to join us for a night of refreshments, door prizes and networking. The evening was the perfect opportunity to meet the firm’s new full-time Lubbock attorney Nick Merz who will lead our West Texas team.

Merz, a Tech Law School graduate, worked in the firm’s North Austin location, where he handled several high-profile sexual assault and personal injury cases. He is also a Top 40 under 40 attorney and a new member of the Lubbock County Young Lawyers Association.

“I’m excited to be back in the Lubbock community,” Merz said. “This event is not just a return to the city that gave me so much, but also an opportunity to forge new connections and strengthen our legal community. I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues and contributing to the vibrant business landscape here in West Texas.”

Business After Hours is an informal networking event that allows Lubbock Chamber members to make connections and visit hosting member businesses throughout Lubbock. 

The event is held twice a month and rotates through Chamber member businesses. 

“This is The Carlson Law Firm’s second time hosting Business After Hours,” said Managing Partner Craig Carlson. “We’re thrilled to have Nick Merz as a part of our team, bringing his intelligence and enthusiasm as the face representing us in the Lubbock legal community.
