Tera always knew that she wanted to help people but wasn’t sure what that would look like at first. After dedicating years to social work and teaching high school, she decided to make a career change. Tera made the decision to switch to law after conducting her own legal research to guide two of her former students with issues at home to the source who could help them. At this moment, Tera realized she liked being able to help someone navigate an issue that would be burdensome without an attorney.

Tera says she likes coming into a difficult situation and taking most of the pressure off an individual by using the knowledge and experience she has built over her career. Having a teaching and social work background, she’s able to look beyond the narrow facts and immediate impact of the situation and see the greater picture of how an individual is doing. Tera has acquired the skills to be sympathetic and does well with making people feel more at ease in uncomfortable situations.

When Tera isn’t practicing law, she enjoys doing hard-core yoga classes and spending time with her husband, two daughters, dogs and cats.
