Experience on your side

The daughter of a plaintiff’s employment attorney and a schoolteacher, Breanna knew she wanted a career dedicated to serving others. Growing up watching her father advocate for workers who had been discriminated against and wrongfully terminated, she was fascinated with the idea of representing the underdog.

Born and raised in El Paso, Breanna grew up in a bicultural city, immersed in the rich culture of the border. She graduated Summa Cumlaude from Texas State University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She went on to receive her J.D. from the University of Texas in 2021. Breanna is licensed to practice law in Texas and New Mexico, as well as in the Western and Southern Districts of Texas.

Before coming to The Carlson Law Firm, Breanna worked for a small mass torts firm in Austin, where her practice was focused on representing clients injured by large pharmaceutical companies. At The Carlson Law Firm, Breanna continues to handle mass actions for individuals injured and wronged through severe negligent acts of large corporations.

In law school, Breanna worked with various deserving and underserved populations. She served as a student attorney in both the Civil Rights and Human Rights Clinics. There, she assisted low-income clients in a variety of cases related to immigration and criminal justice. She also served as the Mithoff Pro Bono Scholar at the University of Texas, where she organized free legal clinics for students with disabilities. Breanna was also an active participant in various other pro bono clinics, including Court Debt Relief and Driver’s License Recovery Clinics and DACA clinics.

While in law school, Breanna interned for the Honorable Kathleen Cardone and the Honorable David Guaderrama in the Western District of Texas. Interning at the courts served as an invaluable experience that deepened her understanding of how the federal court system works and the intricacies involved in complex litigation. Now, she uses this experience to benefit her clients as she represents them in federal courts across the country as part of her Multi-District Litigation practice. Breanna also interned at the National Employment Lawyers Association, where she worked on advocating for better workplace protections.

Personal Interests

When she’s not at work, Breanna enjoys spending time with her husband, Tyler, and their dog, Shadow. Together, they enjoy traveling the world and recently went to their 10th country. Breanna also enjoys working out, reading, and making new recipes. Breanna also serves as a mentor through Austin Angels and Austin Partners in Education, where she mentors two remarkable young women.
