KILLEEN, Texas – The Carlson Law Firm helped local students prepare for the new school year by distributing 700 backpacks filled with school supplies during its annual Killeen Backpack Giveaway on Aug. 1.
Hosted through the firm's Carlson Cares initiative, the free drive-thru event welcomed local families as students received backpacks and essential school supplies while they lasted. The annual giveaway reflects The Carlson Law Firm's ongoing commitment to supporting students and easing some of the financial burden many families experience during the back-to-school season.
“We’re always grateful for the opportunity to help students in our community start the school year prepared,” said Craig Carlson, managing partner at The Carlson Law Firm. “Seeing so many local businesses, volunteers and families come together each year reminds us what makes the Killeen community so special.
Helping Killeen Students Start the School Year Prepared
Families drove through the event throughout the morning to receive backpacks and school supplies from volunteers stationed along the route. The drive-thru format helped keep the giveaway organized while allowing hundreds of students to receive supplies efficiently.
The Killeen Backpack Giveaway was one of several backpack giveaway events hosted by Carlson Cares across Texas this summer, continuing a tradition of serving local students and families before the first day of school.
