KILLEEN, Texas – The Carlson Law Firm welcomed community members and staff to the Killeen office on Aug. 21 for its latest blood drive, collecting 25 units of blood for the firm’s highest collection total since February 2025.
The blood drive was part of The Carlson Law Firm’s continued commitment to supporting the health and well-being of the communities it serves. A total of 40 people registered to give blood during the event.
“Our firm follows the mantra that we care and we can help,” said Craig Carlson, managing partner at The Carlson Law Firm. “Giving blood is a simple way to put that into action by supporting the community and helping patients who need it.”
25 Units Collected With the Potential to Impact 75 Lives
Over the course of the blood drive, donors gave 25 units of whole blood to help support patients throughout Central Texas. Blood donations can play an important role in helping hospitals care for patients experiencing emergencies, undergoing surgeries, receiving cancer treatment and facing other medical needs.
With each whole blood donation having the potential to help multiple patients, the 25 units collected during the event could impact as many as 75 lives. For The Carlson Law Firm, that potential impact is what makes hosting blood drives an important part of its community involvement.
A Strong Turnout From the Central Texas Community
Forty people registered to participate in the blood drive, helping make the event the firm’s strongest collection since February 2025. The turnout reflects the willingness of people in the community to take time out of their day to help someone they may never meet.
Unlike many forms of giving, blood donation provides a resource that cannot be manufactured and depends on eligible donors choosing to help. Hosting blood drives can make donating more convenient while supporting the ongoing need for blood at hospitals throughout Central Texas.
