18 Wheeler Accident on Highway 79 Sends Two to Hospital
An 18 wheeler accident in Hutto, Texas sent two people to the hospital on Wednesday after the big rig collided with a pickup truck, officials said.
According to reports, the 18 wheeler accident on Highway 79, took place at the intersection of FM 685 when the driver of the semi truck smashed into the pickup before overturning and spilling its load of gravel.
Hutto police said the pickup endured serious damage as a result of the Texas 18 wheeler accident, after being struck on the passenger side of the vehicle.
Both drivers involved in the 18 wheeler accident were transported to Seton Williamson with injuries. The driver of the pickup truck endured more serious injuries, officials said. No one else was involved in the collision.
Authorities had to close the roadway in an effort to clean of the gravel that had spilled with the 18 wheeler overturned.
