8-Year-Old Killed in Bicycle Accident in Arlington, Texas
A young girl was killed when she was struck by a car in a bicycle accident in Arlington on Thursday, police said.
Officials identified the 8-yar-old girl who was killed as Jasmine Abdelaziz, who had been playing with a friend at the time of the Arlington bicycle accident.
Authorities said Abdelaziz was struck by the Honda Accord sedan in front of her home while she rode a three-wheeled tricycle on Angel Fire Lane in Arlington. The vehicle, reportedly, drug the girl for several feet before the driver of the Honda could stop.
Abdelaziz was transported to Medical Center of Arlington and later flown to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth. She later passed away as a result of the injuries she endured in the bicycle accident.
Police do not believe alcohol played a role in the bicycle accident in Arlington.
