A hit-and-run that killed a man in Northwest Austin Tuesday night, may have been committed by the driver of a Ford F-150 pickup truck, police said.
Austin resident, 25-year-old Justin Patrick Murphy was identified as the bicyclist killed in the hit-and-run accident last night.
Although Murphy was not riding his bike with rear safety lights, police said the driver that struck him was probably well aware that they hit something in the road, and should have stopped.
The accident that occurred on a U.S. 183 service road near Oak Knoll, probably took place around 10:30 p.m., as Murphy was traveling home from work, authorities said.
