Bryan-College Station Marathon: Particpants & Volunteers

While the holidays allow us to spend time with members of our team from all over the state, in the form of our annual Christmas party, we also love the opportunities we’ve been given to give back.

On Sunday, Bryan-College Station attorney, Kathryn Knotts spent time volunteering at the Bryan-College Station Marathon.

“It was so fun cheering everyone on to accomplish their personal goals – whether it was to finish their first race or beat their own personal record,” Knotts said. “Everyone was so encouraging and positive towards each other. It is the first race I have ever volunteered at where the runners were thanking the volunteers from coming out and support them.”

While Kathryn volunteered at the race, which benefitted charities like Mercy Project, the Downs Syndrome Association of Brazos Valley and SOS Ministries, Partner Steven Walden participated in the Marathon.

A newer race in the region, the Bryan-College Station Marathon is a Boston Qualifier race, which was only in its second year. It also included a Half Marathon, which was so popular among participants that it sold out this year.

“Although being an active example in the community is so important to me, I love what the races in our area do for local charities and causes,” Walden said.
