One man was killed in a single vehicle accident in Bulverde on Friday morning, with the passenger in the vehicle experiencing serious head injuries caused by the wreck, police said.

The man who was killed in the auto accident was identified as 20-year-old Connor Neckar, a resident of Bulverde, police reported. The passenger in the vehicle at the time of the wreck was identified as 19-year-old Timothy Smith, also from Bulverde.

According to police, Neckar was ejected from the Chevrolet pickup truck and died as a result of injuries he endured in the crash.

Officials are still investigating the pickup truck accident and believe speed could have been a factor in the accident.

Bexar County officials have not reported whether or not Neckar was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck.
