Central Texas Woman Killed in Auto Accident in Temple

An auto accident in Temple claimed the life of a Central Texas woman on Saturday, when a 21-year-old man smashed into her vehicle at the intersection of West Avenue M and South 51stStreet, officials said.

The woman was identified as 35-year-old Temple resident Shelly Easter. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the car accidentwreckEaster’s vehicle was identified as 21-year-old Ramon Rivera, a resident of Nixon, Texas.

Rivera was transported to Scott & White Hospital for the treatment of injuries he endured in the car accident in Temple. Officials said Rivera is being charged with intoxication manslaughter as a result of the two vehicle collision.
